Great spot central to the downtown tourism area and trains . Great for groups and comfy space. I ordered the fried catfish served freshly made collard greens and grits . The meal was amazing! The cornbread batter on the catfish was on point ! I also loved the draft beer I ordered , and Port City Optimal Wit . Lovely beer to complete any meal . Waiter couldn't have been nicer and accommodating. Great service from the start even from the hostess .

Wandered in here during a little winter night out on the town and absolutely loved the service we were given by one of the bartenders! He was really personable and made us feel welcome and at home. We only tried one drink, which was the egg nog with alcohol in it (I can't recall if it had a special name). It was classic, strong, and perfect to end the night. I cannot wait to return to actually try their food! If you are in the area and need a place to grab a drink after a movie or whatever, Clyde's certainly has my stamp of approval!

My friends and I often go to the Capitol one arena to watch the NBA game. Clyde's is our go to place after the game. They have a huge space. You can reserve it or sit at the bar. They have a nice collection of food and drinks. We often get multiple order of wings, fries and pizza with beer or cocktails. It gets crowded on game days. If you have a large group I highly recommend calling them ahead and reserving a seat.

We were having some trouble finding a place to eat on a rainy night and luckily someone knew about Clyde's!

Came here after seeing a show at Regal and easily grabbed a seat at the bar. We were immediately taken care of. I've never had a bad meal here though I prob wouldn't order the Cubano again - they give you a ton of pork and ham but it ended up being a bit soggy and hard to eat. Good flavoring, just not my favorite. The space is cool--it's massive with lots of wood paneling and artwork. Nicely decorated for the holidays too! As to be expected, it does get very crowded when there's a game at Capital One Arena.

I've eaten at Clyde's of Gallery Place several times since moving to Washington almost 20 years ago. In each case, the experience has been a positive one. The large Americana menu tends to offer something even the pickiest diners will enjoy, and there are a sufficient number of options for people with special dietary requirements. The space is large with at least three bars spanning two floors and large dining areas--both private and open. The service tends to be solid although the restaurant can get quite busy, so reservations are generally always a good idea. This time around, I tired the Summer Market Salad (arcadian lettuce, arugula, Asian pears, Honeycrisp apples, candied walnuts, Jasper Hills Farm cheese, white balsamic vinaigrette). It was light, fresh, satisfying, and reasonably priced. AmEx is accepted here.

I enjoy Clyde's. You know what you are getting here and it's always solid. We can take the kids, which is also a bonus. We went here pre-theater recently. Our service was absolutely amazing and I think that's what thrilled me the most. Hosts were amazing too. And we liked the lively atmosphere. I got my standard Clyde's order--a grilled chicken sandwich with fries and it hit the spot. Others enjoyed their burgers. I'd maybe avoid this location during an event but otherwise I'm game to visit.
